It's fall, and while I've been kondoing right with the rest of the first world, I've also been taking stock of my favorite things - some new, some old, some not even really things, but all awesome. Check it.
PARACHUTE HOME Parachute is an apt name for this bedding brand, because it is literally a lifesaver. They offer well-made basics in classic fabrics and colors, including these jazzy navy percale cases that are helping bring a moody fall vibe to my bedding situation. I'm really trying to conjure an update on the 70's collegiate look here - think a modern version of Ryan O'Neal's Harvard bedroom in Love Story (before he abandons his fortune, obviously). Success, yes?
HERMES AVALON BLANKET Listen this blanket is like a billion dollars but is extra special to me because it was a wedding gift from some dear friends who live much too far away for my liking so get off my case it's awesome.
PUTNAM & PUTNAM FLOWERS It seems these dudes are responsible for all of the it-events around town these days, and for good reason. Michael and Darroch spend their days creating magical moments out of branches, leaves and, of course, flowers for clients like Vogue, Target, the Frick Museum, and SSSLEEP! Whenever my bedside needs a little lift, Putnam & Putnam does the trick. Of course, if designer flowers aren't in the cards on the regular, sign up for one of their awesome, super-useful classes and learn how to DIY. Even the craft-impaired will come away with an arrangement dramatic enough to make a Dutch Master weep.
SKY TING YOGA When your greatest joy in life is napping, Sky Ting can be a harrowing addiction. Two things you need to know here: founders Krissy and Chloe are essentially the cutest people I've ever known in real life, and their brand of yoga is just damn good. It takes a lot to get me out of bed and into spandex, but these ladies get you into your flow with such chill, positive vibes, you almost forget you're working out. Make no mistake though, this class is deceptively intense, but by the end you'll be totally zen (and sweating buckets).
CATBIRD CAT SLEEP MASK The lovely ladies at Catbird sent me this adorable sleep mask and it's quickly become my favorite. Listen, it's October - I'm in a dark, Halloweeny mood, it truly blocks all of the light, and it makes me feel like Michelle Pfieffer when I go to sleep (which like, isn't that the goal always?) Plus it's the only cat I'm not allergic to. Great job Catbird. Know your audience.
