August 2015, Positano, Italy
If you're planning a vacation (which, let's be real, you should always be planning a vacation), consider for a moment that Italy is the jam. Not only will you encounter incredible scenery basically everywhere, but Italians encourage day drinking and put cheese on everything. What more does one need?
I recently spent ten glorious days eating my way around Italia and doing what I do best: sleeping in some magical beds. This one, at Il San Pietro di Positano, was the most beautiful by far. It's understated in a way only Italians could manage. (Can we call something covered in gold "understated"? IDK. But it's giving me a casual princess vibe.)
The rooms are spacious and calming, with elegant details like the aforementioned gold headboard, handpainted doors and decorative tile. And each room has a private terrace. With. A. View.
Right? Enough said.
